ER RN Job Details – Indiana Nursing Jobs

Location : Valparaiso, IN 46383 (Northwest Indiana)

Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (30 beds)

Contract Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (3x12's or 4x12's)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

EMR System : Cerner

Travel Nursing Requirement : Must reside more than 50 miles from facility

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required)

ENPC & TNCC (required within one year of start date)

NRP (preferred)

Respiratory and ventilator experience (preferred)

Cerner EMR experience (required)

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department

Assess, triage, and manage patients with acute medical conditions and trauma

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal outcomes

Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to medical emergencies

Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR system

Float to other units within the hospital as required
