The Electrical Manager (HV / MV Systems) is a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical systems within our clients' renewable energy projects. This role drives technical excellence, ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and fosters innovation to enhance system performance and project success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and oversee high-voltage and medium-voltage projects with exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in project planning, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain strict adherence to timelines and budgets while delivering innovative and high quality solutions.
  • Apply advanced project management principles to plan effectively, execute, and oversee electrical solar construction projects (PV).
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding PMP certification, showcasing their expertise in managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and achieving outstanding results.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of electrical (HV / MV) components, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to proactively address project challenges.

Strategic Leadership and Team Development

  • Build, lead, and cultivate a high-performing team of technicians, fostering a culture of shared expertise, continuous learning, excellence in safety, and innovation driven by a commitment to placing the client at the center of every solution.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic insights on HV / MV technologies and trends to drive organizational goals.
  • Technical Oversight and Innovation

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge HV / MV techniques that align with project objectives and industry standards.
  • Leverage emerging technologies to improve system efficiency, reliability, and integration with renewable energy grids.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Project and Resource Management

  • Oversee the lifecycle of HV / MV projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting rigorous quality and safety standards.
  • Safety, Environmental Stewardship, and Quality Management

  • Design and enforce comprehensive safety protocols for HV / MV operations, conducting regular audits and corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal electrical standards, minimizing risks and maintaining compliance.
  • Implement robust safety protocols and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies.
  • Champion sustainable engineering practices that align with ISO 14001, minimizing environmental impact and enhancing resource conservation.
  • Drive adherence to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards throughout all civil and mechanical engineering processes.
  • Implement quality management systems to ensure project outputs meet rigorous standards for consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external contractors, and regulatory agencies to align electrical systems with broader project goals.
  • Represent our client and stakeholder meetings, communicating complex technical concepts effectively.
  • SCADA Systems and Electrical Innovation

  • Design, implement, and manage SCADA systems to monitor, control, and optimize HV / MV electrical operations in real time.
  • Leverage SCADA technologies to improve system efficiency, reliability, and integration with renewable energy grids, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical challenges using SCADA insights to enhance operational performance and decision-making.
  • Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred in HV / MV solar construction (PV).
  • Experience in project leadership, reporting, submittals, RFIs, civil pre-construction services, MMRPS, electrical delivery, commissioning (hot / cold), navigating environmental and safety regulations, and finishing projects to completion driven by a commitment to placing the client at the center of every solution.
  • The ideal candidate will have a ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 credentials or relevant experience
  • Work Environment and Travel :

  • Ability to perform fieldwork and manage on-site teams.
  • Some travel required.

    Compensation starts at $75K - up to $130K annually, plus bonuses.
