Position Title : Groundman

Resort and Location : Cliffs at Peace Canyon

Department : Maintenance

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Reports To : Maintenance Manager

Shifts and Days off may vary

Position Summary :

The Groundman position is primarily responsible to maintaining the cleanliness of outdoor and public areas of the resort. This includes handling minor maintenance requests such as changing light bulbs, unclogging a drain, etc. as well as serving as a “runner” for guests and other interdepartmental areas.

Core responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to :

Specific Responsibilities :

• Remove trash from garbage bins throughout the property. Pick up trash outside units, check and clean ashtrays, straighten pool furniture, ensure that fresh towels are available in pool areas and upon requests.
• Clean all public areas including walkways, parking lots, lobby, fitness center, pool, and yard areas as well as upkeep on the grills.
• Assist other departments by delivering items from one area to another (i.e. office to storage).
• Assist housekeepers with furniture moves.
• Assist with paint (patch and repair) and basic maintenance in common areas.
• Responsible for additional duties and / or projects as assigned by Supervisor and / or Resort Manager.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

Flexible Scheduling : Must be able to work Evenings, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, On-call and Holidays.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to use his / her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes and weight. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
