Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant.

• Must have at least six months of paid experience working as a Medical Assistant

This is a FULL TIME / TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 7 : 55 AM- 5 : 45 PM, Monday through Friday ( Although, usually the shift finishes between 5 : 15 PM- 5 : 30 PM), located in Chesapeake, VA (23320).

Responsibilities :

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant :

As a Medical Assistant (Family Practice), you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vitals, reconciliation of medication, rooming patients, documentation in patient charts (EHR), calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy, completing follow-up phone calls to patients, EKG, Urine screens, blood draws, injections, taking a medical history, assisting physicians as needed in a 6 doctors practice office, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in Chesapeake, VA 23320.

Requirements for the Medical Assistant :

Preferred : Experience in a Family Practice or Urgent Care setting.

Preferred : At least 1-year experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified or Registered is a PLUS
