Senior Manager of Payroll

Job Description

The Senior Manager of Payroll is responsible for overseeing all payroll operations for all employees. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements, and effective integration with HRIS systems. The position plays a key role in labor relations, financial reporting, and strategic workforce planning.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

7+ years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in public sector or unionized environments.

Strong knowledge of payroll systems

Experience with collective bargaining agreements and labor law compliance.

Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

SHRM-CP or PHR
