Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Specialist to join our food manufacturing team. This role ensures that all products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. The Quality Specialist will support quality assurance processes, conduct inspections, and assist in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Specialist to join our food manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. The Quality Specialist will support quality assurance processes, conduct inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with food safety regulations and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Monitor and enforce food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SQF / BRC).
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and support corrective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all quality control processes.

Product Assurance

  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and laboratory tests as required.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and deviations.

    • Process Improvement & Training

  • Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide quality-related training and support to production teams.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance product consistency, efficiency, and compliance.

    • Regulatory & Customer Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Address customer complaints and quality concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to maintain ingredient and packaging quality standards.

    • Qualifications

    Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems (GMP, HACCP, FSMA).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

    • Preferred :

  • Experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance roles.
  • Familiarity with SQF, BRC, or other third-party certification programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
