PICU RN Job Details Location : Des Moines, IA 50309 (Iowa healthcare jobs) Setting : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – 12 private patient rooms Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026) Shifts : 3x12 hour night shifts per week (36 hours / week) Weekend / Holiday : Every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation On-Call : None EMR : EPIC Estimated Weekly Pay : $2100–$2250 PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience Active Iowa RN license (Iowa nursing jobs) Current PALS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications Experience with EPIC EMR Willingness to float to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Emergency Department (ED) patient holds as needed Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission One supervisory performance evaluation / reference from within the past 2 years PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare team Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PICU Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff Float to NICU (caring for stable "feeders and growers") and ED patient holds as required Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR Take the next step in your travel nursing career with this rewarding Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse job in Des Moines, Iowa.
