Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll care for a diverse patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .High volumes of cervical and spinal surgery patients along with medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , our unit uses the latest neurosurgical techniques and offers cutting-edge care.

Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.Anticipate changes in patient condition and respond promptly.Implement strategies for patient safety and assess learning needs.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Evaluate patient outcomes and engage in quality improvement initiatives.Communicate effectively and promote collaboration among healthcare team members.Participate in professional development and mentoring.Demonstrate age-specific knowledge to provide appropriate care.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.Experience Required :
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
