• Provide patient-focused nursing care for acutely ill or injured patients of all ages and developmental stages
• Utilize nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation with accurate documentation
• Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated patient care
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in Emergency Department setting required
• Must possess and maintain current Texas Registered Nurse License (or compact license)
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Perform essential functions within scope of practice while adhering to policies and regulatory guidelines
• Process laboratory specimens according to written procedures and safety guidelines
• Provide basic respiratory services including capnography, pulse oximetry, and oxygen administration
• Utilize critical thinking skills and work with minimal supervision
• Facilitate patient transfers and discharges
• Participate in staff development, competency training, and ongoing professional development
• Physical demands include ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand, walk, and maintain visual acuity for patient care
