About the Role : (5 DAYS IN OFFICE ROLE)

We are seeking a seasoned Employment Litigation Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This role is ideal for a strategic litigator with deep experience in employment law who thrives in high-stakes environments and is passionate about advocating for clients in complex disputes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, including class actions, PAGA claims, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and WARN Act cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and prepare for depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, HR policies, internal investigations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel across jurisdictions to ensure cohesive litigation strategy and execution.
  • Represent clients in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
  • Qualifications :

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Illinois.
  • Minimum 7 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on employment law.
  • Proven track record of successful trial outcomes and strategic case management.
  • Exceptional writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience with sensitive investigations, IP protection, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Preferred Attributes :

  • Former public defender or similar trial-heavy background.
  • Experience in both plaintiff and defense-side employment litigation.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment regulations, including FLSA, DLSE, and data privacy laws.
