Position Highlights

Position : Patient Care Technician

Location : Glenbrook Hospital

Full-time : 32 hours per week

Hours : night shift (11pm-7 : 30am), w / rotating weekends

What You Will Do

• Perform a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Maintain visual, auditory, and manual attention throughout the shift.
• Utilize manual dexterity for sustained periods of time.
• Assess patients and read / record information accurately in charts.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and coworkersoften while all parties are masked.
• Work safely in environments that may include exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, chemicals, and other hazards.
• Manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet patient care needs.
• Use appropriate patient movement equipment for non-emergency lifts and transfers.
• In urgent situations, may need to assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Wear required PPE, including N95 mask or PAPR, when applicable.
• Perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift.
