Job Overview

Burkhead Electric is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Assistant to support our fast-paced warehouse operations. This critical role ensures that our field crews receive the right materials and tools, on time and in excellent condition. You'll be responsible for organizing inventory, preparing job site deliveries, maintaining tools and fleet equipment, and supporting overall warehouse logistics. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and properly store electrical materials, supplies, and equipment
• Pull and prepare materials for job sites, ensuring accuracy and timely availability
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock audits and reorders
• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Load and unload vehicles and coordinate material deliveries
• Drive company vehicles for pickups and deliveries (local / regional)
• Track material orders, backorders, and vendor communications
• Compare vendors and assist in purchasing materials at competitive prices
• Communicate effectively with office and field staff regarding material availability
• Maintain and track tools and equipment, coordinating repairs or replacements
• Keep the warehouse, company grounds, and parking lots clean and safe
• Maintain company fleet equipment and assist in tracking usage and location
• Inspect and manage safety equipment including ladders, harnesses, fire extinguishers, and scaffolding
