About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the financial technology space, is looking for a skilled Head of Cyber Security to join their team for a long-term engagement. This project involves setting the strategic vision and leading the hands-on implementation of comprehensive security initiatives to safeguard their pioneering digital platform and internal systems. This is a high-impact leadership role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute the company’s end-to-end security strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in the design, deployment, and management of security programs and controls across application, network, and cloud environments.
• Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident analysis to improve future resilience.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks by implementing proactive measures to prevent breaches.
• Establish and enforce security policies and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant industry best practices and regulatory mandates.

Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, including significant experience in leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in application security, cloud security, and network security. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
• Proficiency with security tools and frameworks such as SAST, DAST, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, along with strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
