Transform Lives as a Dialysis Patient Care Technician
At US Renal Care, our Patient Care Technicians (PCT) play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients with renal failure. You will be an essential member of a cross-functional team, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to help improve the lives of our patients.
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Provide compassionate and high-quality dialysis treatment. Your duties will include monitoring patient vitals, initiating and terminating treatments, and collecting blood samples according to physician orders.
- Technician Duties : Ensure safety and quality by preparing hemodialysis machines, maintaining cleanliness, and performing safety checks in compliance with all protocols.
- Safety and Quality : Maintain a safe environment by using personal protective equipment and following all company policies, state, and federal regulations. Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing education.
This position is at our South Georgia Clinic, located at 3564 N Crossing Cir, Valdosta, GA 31602.
What We Are Looking For :
High school graduate or equivalent.A genuine desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.Previous experience in healthcare, such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is a plus.Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols.Ability to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements :
Completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency within 8 weeks of hiring.CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by the state.Certification as a Patient Care Technician through a state-approved or national certification program within 18 months of hire, maintained in good standing thereafter.Make a Difference in Healthcare!
