  • Patient Demographics : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Patient Volume / Census : Average 15–20 patients per shift; up to 25 patients during peak seasons
  • Admissions : Yes

  • Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine across all age groups

  • Trauma Level : Adult Level IV
  • EMR System : Epic
  • Office Equipment Available : Standard ER equipment
  • Specialty Backup Available : RT, Psych, Teleintensivist, Ortho, General Surgery, OB / GYN, CRNA, occasional mid-levels
  • Support Staff Available : Yes
  • Reason for Coverage : Supplemental / Ongoing Coverage

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : No
  • Credentialing Timeline : 60–90 days
  • Fingerprinting : Required, results typically within 48 hours before privileges granted

    • REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • General Emergency Medicine procedures across all age groups
  • ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (or CALS) competency required

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Minnesota license required
  • Board : Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, PALS (or CALS)
  • Experience : Community site emergency medicine experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 12-hour clinical coverage in the Emergency Department
  • Manage single coverage ER for all patient age groups and acuities
  • See an average of 15–20 patients per shift, with potential peaks up to 25
  • Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and tele-intensivists as needed
  • Perform emergency procedures as clinically required
  • Maintain compliance with credentialing, privileging, and hospital policies
