Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in a high-volume Level III obstetrical unit with Epic EMR and floating requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Level III Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Unit handles a high birth volume, with over 400 births during peak months
  • Schedule consists of 3 or 4x12-hour day shifts, with every other weekend and potential for increased weekend coverage as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to like units, including postpartum, is required based on staffing needs
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Orientation includes three days during the first week
  • Collaborate with a team in a busy unit, often providing guidance to less experienced core staff
  • Must be comfortable quickly adapting and integrating into new team environments
  • Must commit to working 3 out of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Return staff must have a minimum 3-month gap before returning as a traveler
  • Scrub colors are flexible except no reddish orange
  • All travelers are expected to float within skill set and between all facilities within the state if required
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Requested time off must be disclosed at the time of application, and no holiday RTO is permitted

  • Active WA or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Labor and Delivery and Postpartum experience required
  • Certifications : ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and BCLS required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Candidates must provide two supervisory references from within the last three years in a comparable setting
