Description
This position has primary responsibility for assisting in the overall administration of academic support within the Math and Quantitative reasoning curriculum and serves as a liaison between departments and the Academic Resource Hub. The Specialist with assist with coordinating the overall provision of support including but not limited to : Mentored Study Groups (MSG's), Drop-in Labs and Tutoring. This position will also be responsible for working with individual students and groups of students to support the development of content knowledge and strengthen study skills and strategies. This position reports to the Associate Director of the Academic Resource Hub and provides oversight to student employees.
Job Responsibilities
In collaboration with Hub staff and faculty from Math and Quantitative departments, oversee day-to-day operations of the programming services related to the math and quantitative courses.
Assist in recruiting, training, evaluating and supervising the student leaders who provide academic support.
Utilize data to develop learning outcomes and assessment measures for academic support programs.
Maintain records related to academic support programming including but not limited to : schedules, evaluation forms, room reservations and program materials.
