Founded more than 75 years ago in Fremont, California, IEM has over 1.7 million square feet of manufacturing capacity, with $1B+ in annual sales and 10,000+ commissioned projects across technology, data centers, commercial, energy, utilities, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure markets. The company delivers product quality, dependable service, and the flexibility to meet complex technical requirements at scale.

The purpose of the Product Services Electrical Component Tester is to support the integrity and effectiveness of the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process by conducting accurate and timely testing of electrical components returned from Field Service operations. This role evaluates components such as breakers, meters, and controllers to determine defects and performance issues. Findings inform root cause analyses and assist in disposition decisions. The tester works with Product Services, Engineering, and Field Service teams to ensure testing data is captured and used to improve product reliability and service outcomes. Strong attention to detail, data entry proficiency, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment are essential.

  • Set up and connect equipment for testing, ensuring correct configuration in accordance with safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Conduct functional testing of electrical components and document findings related to performance, root cause analysis, and final disposition.
  • Complete required documentation, including Material Review Reports (MRR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and other testing logs or quality records.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) process to support decision-making related to defective or returned materials.
  • Develop and track KPIs to evaluate testing effectiveness, timeliness, and quality.
  • Manage movement of materials through the testing workflow and maintain communication across departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing procedures, tools, and documentation to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain calibration schedules and preventative maintenance for test bench equipment, meters, and measurement tools used in FS-PS testing.
  • Assist with periodic audits of Field Service testing equipment to ensure compliance and readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
