Summary :

Kidsport staff assists in the intra-hospital transport of pediatric and adult patients as directed by standard work.

Responsibilities :

Recognizes changes in patient status and notifies appropriate personnel during intra-hospital transports.

Assists with procedures and monitors patients during procedures according to departmental standards of care and practice.

Assists other staff members with inpatient care and movement / repositioning of patients. Follows the direction of Nurse regarding mode of transport for child.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psych / social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.

Other duties as required.

Other information : Technical Expertise

• Medical Assistant; Patient Care assistant; Nursing assistant or Student nurse experience is preferred
• Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in Transport software and phone communication preferred
