We're looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help us build a new data plane for our customers, scale the service, and improve engineering processes.

Career Level : IC3

Responsibilities

As a member of the OCI Platform Service team , you will work with our product team and other engineering teams to define new data plane service for our customers. You'll help design those features and then write code to build and operate them. You will help operate our service, troubleshoot problems and generally support our customers. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives.

• This team is targeting candidates who can work ONSITE in Nashville-TN. Relocation Assistance provided. (This is not a remote position).

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment

Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in PaaS engineering.

Experience developing service-oriented architectures and web services security solutions

Development experience in Java as well as scripting languages

Experience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, search, store).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences

Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment

Familiarity and understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.

Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US : Hiring Range in USD from : $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off : Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
