• Hold shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in planning for safe delivery of care
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care for patients in the Emergency Department
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education requirements
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
