American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and successful completion of an EKG exam.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Pediatric ICU unit within a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
  • Pediatric critical care patient population with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 2-3
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00, with every other weekend required
  • Epic charting system used; prior Epic experience required
  • Floating within scope to like units or sister campuses may be required
  • Block scheduling is open to discussion
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
  • Work in a team-oriented environment with support from experienced clinicians
  • Pre-employment modules (4-10 hours) must be completed prior to start
  • Royal blue and white scrubs required
  • Staff must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler; limitation of 2 contracts before a 6-month break is required
  • Holiday coverage is limited to approval of 1 holiday off during assignment
  • RTO restrictions apply and are at manager's discretion
  • First-time travelers are considered based on manager approval and years of experience
  • No license or background hits within the last year will be approved

    • Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand before consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Must pass an advanced EKG exam without exception
  • Epic experience required for all RN specialties
  • Local candidates not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
  • Pending licenses not accepted
