Director Of Unmanned Systems
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Unmanned Systems to lead and manage the execution of our LUS contracts. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure timely and compliant delivery of all contract deliverables while building trusted relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the program lead and manager for the execution of LUS contracts.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure clear and open communication.
- Translate contractual requirements into executable technical and production plans.
- Exert mature leadership and communicate goals and objectives to partners.
- Oversee all aspects of program management, manufacturing, integration, and testing.
- Manage supply chain coordination, vendor performance, and material procurement for critical components.
- Lead cross-functional teams through production ramp-up, quality assurance, and fielding.
- Be accountable for program execution, quality, and budget adherence.
- Maintain communication with upper management on program risks and mitigation plans.
- Support and participate in program reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and warfighter demonstrations.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, DoD cyber, security, safety, contracting, and inspection requirements.
- Develop and report on key program metrics including cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills :
Proven experience as a Director in Engineering or Unmanned Systems.At least 5 years of experience leading Department of Defense programs.Strong skills in production, documentation, and program management.PMP Certification is required.Eligibility for Secret clearance is a must.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience; MBA or Master's degree is desired.Experience with government contracts or veteran status is a plus.Work Environment :
The role is based in a large, fairly new manufacturing facility in Nottingham (White Marsh), MD, where state-of-the-art Blast Containment Vessels are built.The work involves compliance with ITAR / EAR regulations and may require U.S. persons for compliance purposes.Job Type & Location :
This is a permanent position based out of Nottingham, MD. (White Marsh, MD)The pay range for this position is $185000.00 - $225000.00 / hr.
