Job description

Your Impact :

Corporate Accounting :

  • Prepare and analyze monthly revenue reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to improve reporting processes and internal controls.

Client-Facing Governmental Accounting Support :

  • Provide accounting guidance and support to public sector clients, particularly in areas related to employee benefits funding and reporting.
  • Assist clients with compliance related to GASB standards and other applicable governmental regulations.
  • Help interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed.
  • Successful Candidates Will Have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CGFO preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to both corporate and governmental environments.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP; familiarity with GASB a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience working with public sector entities (e.g., municipalities, school districts, or state agencies).
  • Prior work in an insurance brokerage or employee benefits environment.
  • Knowledge of Florida governmental accounting practices.
