Engineer

Design Engineer (Norwalk, CT) Responsible for designing, developing & releasing assemblies for sales purposes, while working w / design team. Works directly w / sales managers & other design engineers using 3D Modeling Software, primarily Autodesk Inventor. Duties : Generating tech. drawings based off sketches, templates, prototypes, documents, or descriptions of products; Interfacing w / the CAD system to provide nec. modeling & detailing support for existing & new assemblies & sub-assemblies; Using mechanical detailing & be able to interpret engineering drawings & develop 3D CAD models & 2D CAD drawings; Generating Bill of Material in the manufacturing system; Responsible for back checking work to minimize rework; Working w / various depts. supplying & verifying nec. data for producing acceptable products; Assisting other team personnel on drafting standards, engineering practices.
