Job description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a Tier 1 vendor for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and we are recruiting for an experienced, Civil Design Engineer , for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City, TN.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Local or regional candidates highly preferred.

W2 Hourly Pay Rate : Up to $80.00 / hour
Target Start Date : 11 / 10 / 25
Duration : 12 months

Responsibilities :

DEVELOPS AND EVALUATES PLANS AND CRITERIA FOR A VARIETY OF PROJECTS.

ASSESSES THE FEASIBILITY AND SOUNDNESS OF PROPOSED ENGINEERING EVALUATION TESTS, PRODUCTS, OR EQUIPMENT WHEN NECESSARY DATA ARE INSUFFICIENT OR CONFIRMATION BY TESTING IS ADVISABLE.

PERFORMS AS A STAFF ADVISOR AND CONSULTANT TO A TECHNICAL SPECIALTY, A TYPE OF FACILITY OR EQUIPMENT, OR A PROGRAM FUNCTION.

APPLIES INTENSIVE AND DIVERSIFIED KNOWLEDGE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES IN BROAD AREAS OF ASSIGNMENTS AND RELATED FIELDS.

MAKE DECISIONS INDEPENDENTLY ON ENGINEERING PROBLEMS AND METHODS AND REPRESENT THE ORGANIZATION IN CONFERENCES TO RECEIVE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS AND TO PLAN AND COORDINATE WORK.

REQUIRES THE USE OF ADVANCED TECHNIQUES AND THE MODIFICATIONS AND EXTENSION OF THEORIES, PRECEPTS, AND PRACTICES OF THE FIELD AND RELATED SCIENCES AND DISCIPLINES.
