JOB SUMMARY
The School of Business of the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership, and Technology (BILT) at Marymount University invites applications from Interior Design persons qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate (Masters) Interior Design studio and lecture courses.
Faculty are expected to teach high quality courses in online and face-to-face settings. The School of Design and Art within the College of BILT is located at Marymount University’s Main Campus in the city of Arlington, Virginia. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teach designated courses, face-to-face and/or online (synchronous and asynchronous), including keeping teaching materials current, interacting with students in discussions and hands-on activities, the continuous grading of assignments, and monitoring student performance through the courses.
• Maintain appropriate office hours and support students in their educational journey and in their career progression.
• Work with the School of Design and Art Director to identify new subjects in the Interior Design field and identify yourself or other guest speakers and potential adjuncts to deliver this material.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Master of Arts degree is required with a minimum of 18 graduate credits directly related to the teaching field and/or a combination of credentials and/or work experience related to the course objectives.
• Professional experience in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is required.
• Experience teaching in higher education or with adult learnings is preferred.

• NCIDQ or NCARB certification preferred
