The fastest growing categories of Automotive, Industrial, Outdoors needs a dedicated Marketing leader to scale White-spaces of Vehicles, Tyres, Solar Panels, MRO & Medical. We are looking for a customer obsessed, out of the box thinker who is as comfortable with doling out new marketing approaches in a world that lives on Personalization, performance marketing driven by influencers and customers as they are with number crunching. Fluency with Amazon's leadership principles like think big, earn trust are must-haves for the leader to succeed while raising the bar on both thinking and delivery. Our mission is to build ubiquitous and large offline heavy businesses online with understanding customer friction points and barriers, communicating the trust and convenience of online channels and therefore creating a best in class shopping experience for our customers and their seller partners.

The role will own and drive the following : performance metrics for all category assets; personalization strategy for the BU; P&L line-items on marketing spends and monitoring efficiencies; automation of marketing campaigns to reduce duplication; driving new traffic; optimizing channel performance with traffic channel owners and central Hardlines marketing team; working closely with vendor and seller partners to define and scale monetization and ads roadmap.

Key responsibilities

  • Owning gateway channel for all categories and raising the bar on communication to customers entering through gateway
  • Define & work on the GW & +1 pages Automation & Personalization charter with central teams
  • Define merchandising strategies across customer facing pages and partner with teams across categories to align towards a common strategy
  • Own and raise the bar for customer facing design & communication across touch points
  • Partner with central teams to create new partnerships as avenues for driving incremental traffic for OHLF categories
  • Develop scalable ways to automate / report performance & opportunities across free and paid traffic channels
  • Establish guidelines and best practices across teams, guiding marketing resources to optimize traffic and / or merchandising
  • Enable customers to discover what they are looking to buy from tens of millions of products across home categories
  • Partner with product teams to drive customer adoption of global / local innovations and create a highly personalized shopping experience
  • Understand customer behavior and pass back data & insights to product teams to prioritize roadmaps

Basic Qualifications

  • MBA from IIM / ISB; 3-5 years of experience in marketing, ecommerce, program and / or product management
  • Experience in operating, managing, and delivering results in a customer-facing online retail / services marketing or product management role
  • Proven success in delivering online products and services in a high growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with prioritization, planning and task delegation
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to make and support decisions; high proficiency with Excel
  • Proven ability to manage large and complicated projects with cross-functional leadership
  • Strong alignment to Amazon’s Leadership Principles
