Per Diem Dental Hygienists needed in Florida! Pay is $48 an hour
There will be multiple opportunities in North Miami Florida including- Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Bonita Springs, Hialeah, West Palm beach, Lauderhill, Jupiter, Plantation, Hollywood, Cooper, Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach, and Pembroke Pines.
Position Summary : Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range incomplexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants.
- Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Order and keep track of inventory as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a medical / clinical environment.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones.This job operates in a well-lighted, sterile environment.Employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious disease.Physical Demands :
The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; stand and / or sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.The employee must frequently lift and / or move objects up to 25 pounds.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood-borne pathogens and / or physical risks, which will require OSHA training.Competencies :
