Job description

Job Title : Dev Ops Engineer

Location : Richmond, VA / Plano, TX

Duration : 7 months

Interview Process

  • Technical Panel Interview – 1 hour (cloud, DevOps, incident management scenarios).
  • Job Fit / Team Fit Interview – 30 minutes with hiring manager

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Applicants must be able to work directly for our company on W2.
  • Incident Management Expertise (ITIL knowledge preferred).
  • Cloud Experience : AWS (Cloud Practitioner or higher certifications a plus).
  • Software Development Exposure : Python or similar programming knowledge.
  • DevOps / SRE Background : Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and system reliability practices.
  • Strong technical communication skills to assess impact and convey incident details effectively.
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and application teams.

    • Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Google AI / GenAI Integration Experience (e.g., Vertex AI, AI-powered incident summarization, automation tools).
  • Previous experience in similar environments.
  • Exposure to Datadog or other monitoring tools.
  • ITIL certification.

    • Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead incident management efforts by monitoring alerts, evaluating severity, and coordinating resolution.
  • Manage communication during incidents : log updates, post documentation, and facilitate incident calls.
  • Collaborate with business partners and application teams to support and restore services.
  • Provide technical impact assessment of incidents, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Support applications related to Banking, Debit, Small Business, Loans, and Client merger systems.
  • Participate in rotational shifts, including potential second shift coverage (2 PM – Midnight ET).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of incident management processes with automation and AI-driven solutions.
