Summary

As an Employee / Labor Relations Manager, you will provide strategic direction to the Employee Relations teams by communicating goals, vision, expectations, and priorities. You will coach and provide guidance / direction to the team members through one-on-ones, team meetings, and consistent communication.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage Labor Relations issues of all LG Energy Solution production sites in North America including joint ventures, collaborating with Korea HQ
  • Oversee HR Strategies for all North America sites and subsidiaries of LG Energy Solution in collaboration with HR leadership
  • Drive policy & procedure communications and changes across the business that align the desired culture and company values
  • Work with the departments and advocate on behalf of the company in grievance hearings and arbitrations when necessary
  • Responsible for researching related bargaining and grievance history
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns
  • Participate in collective bargaining negotiations, including preparation for logistics and work with the departments to ensure the implementation of any new contractual terms or agreements
  • Maintain a consistent labor strategy across all departments
  • Maintain case files and bargaining history
  • Design and conduct Labor Relations training for all levels of management and supervisory personnel
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of corporate labor relations policies and training methodologies
  • Represent the Company at external forums and participate in committees as required
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Determine corrective actions
  • Analyze issues and suggest solutions on labor disputes and collective bargaining
  • Draft and review a Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
  • Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards :

  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
  • 10 to 15+years of experience in HR Management in a manufacturing company, developing and driving initiatives, project planning & execution
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience leading a diverse team, utilizing proven leadership methods
  • A performance-centered work culture at all levels of the business
  • HR Management experience from a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing company is a plus
  • Strong legal knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Able to travel without legal restriction domestically and internationally on short notice at times to prepare and respond to any labor issues.
  • Preferred Requirement :

  • Experience in dealing with unions.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or OEM.
  • Knowledge or certification in US / Canadian labor law
  • Labor Relations or Law degree strongly recommended
  • Korean / English Bilingual
