Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy has an immediate opening for a full-time Intake Coordinator. Under the supervision of the homecare management team he or she will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals in need of long-term care. This involves leveraging exceptional communication skills and drawing on extensive experience in healthcare coordination.
Days & Hours : Monday-Friday 8 : 30AM-5 : 00PM
Essential Functions :
- Answer a high volume of calls
- Maintaining and providing excellent customer service at all times
- Processing all intakes including troubleshooting identifying and resolving problems as they arise.
- Setting up new / returning patient cases in EMR which includes obtaining new demographic information and all existing insurance information.
- Ensuring that all patients benefits are verified in a timely manner.
- Receives and processes incoming faxes promptly ensuring timely communication and documentation.
- Contacts treating physicians to obtain updated prescriptions for Occupational and Physical Therapy treatments and obtain Plans of Care updating the system accordingly.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and protects sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and clinic policies.
- Maintains a safe clean and organized environment by complying with all procedures rules and regulations.
- Answers calls from physicians hospitals and patients demonstrating exemplary customer service skills.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required to support clinic operations and patient care
Qualifications : Requirements :
One (1) year of medical office experience preferred with familiarity in EMR systems as a plus.Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers co-workers and management.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new programs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.One year of experience in a customer service-oriented role is strongly preferred.High school diploma or GED is required.Ability to successfully complete in-service training.Ability to maintain a professional attitude and conduct in the welfare of patients.Strong record-keeping and report-writing skills.Additional Information :
