Real Estate Records Coordinator
Responsible for the development and maintenance of real estate records related to acquisition, sales, leasing, and management of properties across our client's entire network. This role supports day-to-day operations by maintaining an electronic real estate database and performing accounting functions associated with deeds, leases, and easements.
Essential Job Functions & Tasks :
- Maintain and update electronic records for real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, leases, rental payments / revenue, property records, and railroad permits.
- Generate and provide reports to support monthly tracking and reporting of assigned tasks.
- Manage and organize legal real estate documents such as deeds, leases, surveys, easements, and exhibits within the electronic database.
- Review and organize real estate records to process lease payments / revenue and conduct research on company-owned and leased assets.
- Collaborate with Legal, Business Units, Accounting, and Land Agents to track purchase, sale, and lease contracts.
- Process real estate-related invoices using the company's accounting system (PeopleSoft).
- Conduct research within Power Plant systems to coordinate and organize ownership documentation for company assets.
- Read and interpret real estate documents to ensure clear understanding of transactions.
Minimum Requirements :
Education - Associate degree in Land Records Management, Business, Real Estate, or Paralegal Studies; or Paralegal Certificate - OR - High School Diploma with relevant experienceExperience - Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate with 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, title examination, or related field - High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in the same areasAdditional Qualifications :
