Job Summary and Qualifications

RN opening for inpatient rehab to function as a PPS Coordinator (PPSC)

The Prospective Payment System Coordinator (PPSC) interprets information within the company’s electronic health records to ensure complete and accurate provider documentation. As appropriate, reviews with other inpatient rehabilitation employees, physicians, and the coding team to provide patient clinical documentation that eliminates conflicting, imprecise, incomplete, illegible, or inconsistent clinical documentation. Input of patient information into payor programs / and data collection for facility quality improvement programs.

Education & Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and / or experience required
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Medical / Surgical Nursing or Intensive Care with strong medical knowledge base.
• Inpatient Rehabilitation experience a plus.
• Knowledge of pressure wound assessment and staging preferred.
