Travel RN Job Details

Location : Titusville, Florida 32796 (Space Coast)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital – Med / Surg Tele & PCU Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,260 - $1,350

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Orientation : Mandatory 5 shifts (36-40 hours first week)

Parking : Free in any unrestricted space

Scrub Color : Any

Charting System : Meditech EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry or PCU nursing experience

Active Florida or compact RN license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS (or willing to obtain before start)

Experience with 1 : 6 patient ratios and PCU-level care

Telemetry and cardiac drip experience required; cardiac drip titration preferred

Proven adult and geriatric patient care skills

Orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing experience strongly preferred

Ability to float to other units within nursing scope

Must reside at least 30 miles from facility (no local travel nurses)

COVID-19 vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Ability to complete required modules (approx. 4 hours) prior to start

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a mixed Med / Surg Tele and PCU unit

Manage a 1 : 6 patient ratio, including PCU-level patients

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias

Administer cardiac drips (no titration), manage central and peripheral lines, and provide chest tube care

Provide post-operative orthopedic and total joint replacement care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.)

Float to other hospital units within nursing scope as needed

Document patient care using Meditech EMR

Participate in rapid response / code teams as required

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and scheduling flexibility
