Environmental, Health, And Safety Manager
The Environmental, Health, And Safety (EHS) Manager serves as the primary safety leader for 600 team members across several locations in Bardstown, KY including a Bottling Hall with 9 production lines, a Distillery, and 2 Distribution Centers. The EHS Manager is responsible for all records and reports required by the Company and Regulatory agencies. The EHS Manager leads and coordinates EHS performance improvement initiatives, including the development, review, and revision of safety and environmental training programs. This role reports to the Plant Manager, and leads two safety coordinators.
Responsibilities include :
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, procedures, and best practices
- Develop and executive safety training programs and requirements including leading a safety committee, creating, and maintaining a successful system to quickly identify and remedy safety hazards
- Lead investigation of accidents, injuries, and property damage. Determine root cause of incidents and lead the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Manage and track incident, injury, and near-miss data and metrics, leading to a reduction in incidents
- Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and permits for compliance with internal EHS standards and federal, state, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, Homeland Security, and other relevant agency requirements
- Develop and drive a safety and environmental interdependent culture, which is integrated through everyone's day-to-day work, along with a workforce which relentlessly pursues the identification and remediation of hazards
- Lead workers compensation cases including working with team members, claim adjusters, managed care system, doctors, and management teams to mitigate time lost from work and claims expenses; ensure effective rehabilitation after injury, assess causes, and implement plans to prevent reoccurrence. Obtain and keep current, the reporting and record keeping requirements for safety and workers' compensation. Communicate and coordinate with safety and workers' compensation related regulatory agencies
- Oversee Contractor and Visitor Orientation programs
- Develop policies in support of the Safety, Environmental, and Security Programs. Provide training, leadership, and guidance to all employees
- Efficiently manage Safety, Environmental, and Security CAPEX projects, within stated timeframes
- Collaborate with leadership to maintain and execute Emergency Response and Crisis Management plans
