Navitas is seeking an experienced Cloud & Database Administrator that will support enterprise-wide locations and requires expertise in designing, architecting, implementing, and sustaining a highly available Google Cloud Platform (GCP) hosting environment with secure and compliant database administration.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
Administer and manage enterprise-scale computerized databases.Design, implement, and maintain databases across client / server environments.Forecast and plan long-term database requirements in coordination with other IT leaders.Perform database programming, performance tuning, validation checks, and security controls.Recommend and manage database access strategies for on-prem and cloud environments.Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure data integrity and compliance.Design databases with focus on performance, JCL, access methods, device allocation, documentation, and protection.Maintain database dictionaries, procedures, file design standards, and system integration via database design.Apply SQL and programming knowledge to support database development and automation efforts.
Troubleshoot database performance issues and implement optimizing strategies.What You’ll Need :
