Scanning Technician
The Scanner Operator will support the Office of the Pardon Attorney in Washington, DC by preparing, scanning, and organizing incoming documents and mail. This role involves handling high volumes of sensitive paperwork, ensuring accurate digitization, and maintaining proper file organization within shared storage systems. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience operating document scanning equipment, be detail-oriented, and possess or be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Prior experience in government or litigation support is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, triage, and process incoming mail
- Prepare documents for scanning (e.g., remove staples, paperclips, and binding)
- Perform bulk document scanning and digitization
- Conduct data entry and tag documents appropriately
- Upload scanned files to designated shared storage systems
Required Qualifications
U.S. CitizenshipAt least 1 year of experience with document scanning equipmentPublic Trust clearance, or the ability to obtain onePrior experience in government or litigation support strongly preferredPreferred Qualifications
