As the Sales and Industry Director for Oil, Gas and Energy, you will analyze and build upon the sales strategy and execution to drive success within the market. You will drive business within the segment, create clarity on strategic direction with managers and teams, coach customer value realization and satisfaction, contribute to net‑new revenue and business growth, apply industry and market expertise, and lead go‑to‑market initiatives that maximize revenue, consumption, and growth across solution areas.
Responsibilities
- Understand drivers of Digital & Artificial Intelligence transformation relevant to customers and partners, advise on transformation solutions, and coach the team to orchestrate cross‑units and partners.
- Lead the development and implementation of go‑to‑market plans that leverage market‑specific insights and maximize revenue, consumption and growth across solution areas.
- Apply industry and market expertise to identify solutions and strategies aligned with customer needs, serve as a subject‑matter expert, and coach others.
- Influence and work across segments, partners and teams to drive growth and transformation, ensure alignment on account plans, define account execution, and hold the team accountable beyond fiscal year boundaries.
- Build and maintain a broad executive network of partners, support ecosystem development, and influence long‑term engagements.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, learning, mentorship, coaching, customer‑centricity, accountability, collaboration and achievement of bold goals.
- Coaches ongoing customer value realization and satisfaction, holds the team accountable for value realization, and orchestrates internal and external resources for continuous improvement.
- Analyze and build upon sales strategy and execution to drive success in the market, align teams to customer, partner and Microsoft needs, and manage pipelines that deliver growth.
- Drive the business within the segment to enable revenue growth by addressing business and competitive needs, collaborate across internal stakeholders and manage performance beyond fiscal year.
Qualifications
Required / minimum qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 5+ years experience in sales, marketing / advertising, managing high‑performance sales and technical‑sales teams, and / or leadership roles in multi‑tiered large organizations.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 6+ years experience in sales, marketing / advertising, managing high‑performance sales and technical‑sales teams, and / or leadership roles in multi‑tiered large organizations. OR equivalent experience.2+ years direct / formal, indirect / informal, and / or project team people‑management experience.8+ years experience in software sales or cloud solution sales.Additional or Preferred qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 6+ years experience in sales, marketing / advertising, managing high‑performance sales and technical‑sales teams, and / or leadership roles in multi‑tiered large organizations.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 10+ years experience in sales, marketing / advertising, managing high‑performance sales and technical‑sales teams, and / or leadership roles in multi‑tiered large organizations. Sales Management M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 – $222,700 per year. For the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area the base pay range is USD $170,300 – $239,800 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
