DuPont's Spruance, VA plant is looking to fill a position for an Automation and Process Control Engineer to join our Tyvek line of business. Tyvek is a 100% synthetic material made from high-density spunbound polyethylene fibers. Lightweight, durable and breathable, yet resistant to water, abrasion, bacterial penetration and aging, Tyvek is an amazing material used to improve a variety of applications across multiple industries. Tyvek is available in both a hard structure, used for HomeWrap envelopes and medical packaging applications, and a soft structure, fabric-like finish used for protective apparel and consumer applications. Job Description

Automation & Process Control Engineer is responsible for managing overall area process control systems, instrumentation, and Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF) to ensure business needs are met through the appropriate application of systems engineering and maintenance in a chemical facility. Acts as primary resource for all existing automation and Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment and initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or Computer / Programing Related discipline Required
• A minimum of 3+ years of manufacturing or related experience
• Tyvek Line of business experience Preferred
• Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process / Low Hazard Operation) experience Preferred
• Experience with DCS / PLC architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting (Honeywell and / or Rockwell PLC / HMI) Preferred
