Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – ICU Registered Nurse Location : Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57105 Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – ICU / Critical Care Unit Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 25 / 2025, End : 1 / 24 / 2026) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Shift Schedule : 12-hour rotating shifts (day / night), every other weekend, available for 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,140–$2,290 per week Floating : Required to float to Med / Surg or Step Down units as needed Unit Size : 39 ICU beds across three locations Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 primary, 1 : 1 for high acuity, 1 : 3 for overflow / transfer Charting System : EPIC EMR Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (eligible for South Dakota nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year recent ICU / Critical Care experience Current ACLS and BLS certifications Ability and willingness to float to Med / Surg or Step Down units Flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends and major holidays Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC electronic medical records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans Float to Med / Surg or Step Down units, adapting to diverse patient populations Participate in department-specific training and orientation programs Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including badge in / out and navy blue scrubs Discover the best of Sioux Falls while making a difference in critical care nursing.
