JOB TITLE : Data Engineer 3

LOCATION : San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

PAY RANGE : $55-$65 / hr.

DURATION : 12 months

TOP 3 SKILLS :

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL / PLSQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Azure Databricks).
Proven experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL development (Airflow or similar).
Ability to design and develop analytics solutions integrating SAP HANA, SQL Server, and other enterprise databases.

Job Description :

The Financial Data Engineer will leverage technical expertise to develop analytics products that generate insights into financial metrics and the customer journey. This role requires a hands-on approach to technology, solving complex technical and business issues, and enabling tools for self-service analytics. The ideal candidate delivers high-quality projects on time and supports the financial analyst community with scalable solutions.

Responsibilities :

Develop models to communicate current state, future state, and gaps supporting decision-making.

Refine existing models to improve flexibility and alignment with evolving requirements.

Participate in project design, technical reviews, and conceptual modeling to guide toward positive business outcomes.

Document and demonstrate solutions through design docs, presentations, and code.

Required Skills :

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL / PLSQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Azure Databricks).

Experience with enterprise data warehousing, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Proven ability to design, develop, and migrate data analytics solutions integrating SAP HANA, SQL Server, and other databases.

Familiarity with analytics reporting for sales, bookings, finance, and subscription domains.

Strong ETL development experience, including data warehouse metadata modeling and automation of data loading processes.

Experience with Airflow or other ETL tools (preferred).

Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI for BI and visualization (plus).

Solid operational expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning systems (CPU, memory, OS, network, etc.).

Education & Experience :

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of relevant experience.
