Job descriptionGrowth opportunities with frequent & regular pay increases as you grow your skills Set weekly schedule - always know when youre working Thorough, paid training with lifeguard certification included Great pay ($19-$21 per hour) Valuable work experience Social opportunities Future references / referrals Free swim lessons for children & siblings Weekday lessons end by 8 : 00pm (no late nights), no Saturday / Sunday nights Ability to work with children Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class as part of training and work scheduled shifts as a lifeguard Ability to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool (lifting, standing for extended periods of time, demonstrating curriculum skills and performing in-water rescues if necessary). Noise level is usually moderate Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents Evaluate students progress, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner Interact with parents / guardians on the activities and development of students swim skills Use problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment. Place and remove lane lines and class materials before / after lessons Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasion Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your employer We go above and beyond with every detail to create a GOLDEN experience We believe in nurturing a culture that provides WOW customer service We do the right things, make the right decisions and treat people with Integrity, Compassion and Trust We meet and exceed expectations so you see Extraordinary Results We make a big deal out of lifes accomplishments by remembering to Celebrate!

Our swimmers are diving into great lessons and our employees are diving into great opportunities! Were now hiring year-round, part-time instructors with leadership opportunities available within your first 3-6 months. Yes, you can grow with Goldfish even if this is your after school or second job to help your future career!

Summary : You will instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. After each 30 minute lesson, you communicate progress (and celebrate the accomplishments!) with parents and caregivers.
