About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.

License : Valid compact or state license required.

Certifications : BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS

Must-Have :

Proficient in IV starts

EPIC experience required

Description :

This position involves working in an Emergency Department setting.

You may be scheduled for day shifts, night shifts, or a combination of both based on departmental needs.

Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period.

However, changes to assignments are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at the time.

Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Patients may include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

The patient ratio is 1 : 4.

Strong competencies in telemetry monitoring and blood product administration are required.

Responsibilities include management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, and phlebotomy.

Experience with isolation precautions and interpretation of arterial blood gases is also needed.

You will work with interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory services, radiology, and social services.

Flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to float to different areas is expected.

All candidates must be prepared for a thorough credentialing process.

Candidates must provide 2 professional references.

References must include at least one individual in a leadership capacity.

Coworker references are not accepted.

If you have previously worked with this organization, you must have been away for 6 months or more before eligibility.
