Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,160 per week

Bestica is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Carbondale, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Travel 291928 MUST WORK CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS 4 Medical is a 25-bed unit, 11 are private rooms and 7 semi-private. Nursing ratio is 5 : 1 on days and 5-6 : 1 on nights, with nurses occasionally having 1 total care patient. We get a wide variety of patients, but our biggest population is stroke patients; we get most strokes that don't need TPA and comfort care or hospice patients. We also get a variety of post-operative patients, including amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes. We get heparin drips, wound care, altered mental status, CIWA patients, Aki, dialysis, and COPD exacerbations.
