We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Seafood Retail Merchandiser Trainer to support a large retail chain by educating and developing seafood department teams across multiple store locations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about seafood quality, visual merchandising, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
About the Role
Under the direction of the Regional Seafood Merchandiser, you will train crew members on best practices in seafood care, merchandising standards, customer service techniques, and product knowledge. You will play a key role in ensuring that every seafood department offers customers visually appealing displays, fresh product, and exceptional guidance on seafood preparation and selection.
You will also support the execution of brand-new or remodeled seafood departments, helping to set up displays, train new teams, and prepare stores for successful grand openings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled store visits within an assigned territory to evaluate seafood departments and maintain ongoing communication with store leadership.
- Provide written evaluations and reports summarizing training results and opportunities.
- Train crew members on all aspects of seafood sales, including customer service, suggestive selling, display presentation, seafood handling, and cooking knowledge.
- Lead the planning and execution of seafood department setups for new stores, remodels, and special promotions, including ordering product and supporting grand opening activities.
- Monitor industry trends and market data to support store teams with up-to-date seafood category insights.
- Ensure compliance with all point-of-sale merchandising standards and corporate programs.
- Use independent judgment to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and support store needs across the region.

Minimum 3 years of experience in the seafood industry, preferably within a retail environment.Skills & Abilities :
