Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a Michigan RN license and AHA certifications for a 13-week contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes a diverse range of emergent cases
  • Shifts available : nights (6pm-6 : 30am) and days (6am-6 : 30pm), three 12-hour shifts per week
  • No blocked scheduling allowed
  • Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Provide leadership and coordination in the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department
  • Utilize nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Communicate pertinent patient and family information effectively with the healthcare team
  • May delegate, supervise, and document patient and family education and care
  • Must complete all onboarding requirements and background checks by specified due dates
  • Requests for time off must be discussed prior to assignment start

  • Active Michigan RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
  • Certifications required : AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and either ENPC or PALS
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Level 1 trauma center experience preferred, Level 2 accepted
  • Online modules must be completed onsite prior to start date
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
