Massachusetts Licensed Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical record documentation for accurate assignment of ICD-9-CM and / or CPT codes

Ensure quality and integrity of coding by determining principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures

Participate in educational coding meetings and assist in training of Coding Specialist-Associate when needed

Required Qualifications

2-4 years of experience as a coder in a hospital setting

Completion of a pre-employment test demonstrating knowledge in inpatient / outpatient coding

GED or HiSET required

Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Professional Coder certification preferred
