JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and components required for manufacturing and operations. This position involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality materials. The role requires a strong understanding of technical specifications, supply chain processes, and market trends to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily ordering of all inventory items : aluminum, steel, small components, tools and PPE.
• Lead the procurement process from identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and favorable terms.
• Reduce inventory risks by evaluating; Business Continuity Plans, Product Change Notifications, End of Life notifications
• Continuously evaluate and monitor supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of supplier relations and procurement processes.
• Transform spend and historical data into key insights and opportunities to enable growth.
• Coordinate best practices in strategic sourcing and procurement that align with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and performance with commercial suppliers.
• Guarantee appropriate communication, reporting and cooperation with all stakeholders.
• Minimize working capital / inventories.
• Identify key materials for regional sourcing and contact potential business partners to start sourcing discussions.
• Establish production part approval processes and new vendor evaluation programs.
• Any Additional responsibilities in procurement that management considers as part of your duties
