We are looking for a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become part of our dynamic rehabilitation team. This flexible role is perfect for a skilled therapist eager to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors while enjoying the freedom of PRN scheduling. Please note that this position requires on-site services.
Position Summary :
As a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess and treat residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will create and implement personalized therapy plans aimed at enhancing residents' quality of life and independence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and goals of residents.
- Provide therapy interventions, including compensatory techniques and alternative communication strategies.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on effective communication and swallowing management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective resident care.
- Monitor residents' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes accurately.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in line with regulatory and facility guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the success of the rehabilitation department.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Colorado.Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is advantageous.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on residents' needs.Flexibility to work on a PRN basis, available as needed.Proficient in documentation and use of electronic medical records (EMRs).What We Offer :
